Client Background
- VCE is an exceptionally high growth, emerging business operating in the private cloud / data center computing space. It is a joint venture between Cisco, EMC and VMware.
- In August 2010 cph was selected as VCE’s EMEA recruiting partner on the basis of its comprehensive and highly scalable recruitment process management and direct sourcing solution; plus its proven track record in supporting ‘start up’ and ‘early stage’ fast growth companies.
- In September 2010 cph’s first corporate recruiter started working onsite to manage a challenging pan-EMEA sales recruitment plan. A month later another two cph corporate recruiters joined the VCE onsite team to manage senior hires and professional services recruitment across EMEA.
- An experienced cph Recruitment Manager, Talent Attraction Specialist and Recruitment Coordinator were soon added to the team, to ensure that VCE and its hiring managers (initially most of whom were USA based) had full support across all aspects of the recruiting process, from initial vacancy approval through to new employee on-boarding, working closely with the HR and resourcing teams in Ireland and the USA. An additional, experienced professional services recruiter has subsequently completed cph’s onsite team.
Our results to date:
- In our first six months of partnering with VCE we grew our in-sourced recruitment team from one to seven members, demonstrating our ability and flexibility to rapidly scale up our activities to meet the most challenging of recruitment programmes.
- The cph team quickly moved VCE away from high agency dependency for its candidate sourcing - 90% of hires are now through direct channels
- In six months cph delivered $500,000 in cost savings compared to hiring through agencies.
- Over the last six months we have managed more than 100 new hires across the EMEA region, and anticipate sourcing and hiring a similar number over the next few months.
