Background

  • Following an introduction from an established cph client, who were also this global provider’s business partner, we were invited in mid-2009 to provide recruitment support for their international expansion. This meant working very closely with the UK MD and executives who had transferred over from the USA for the ‘start up’, to recruit their new UK team and provide practical advice and support on UK job descriptions, remuneration packages and skills availability.
  • Initially cph provided a flexible, ‘On Demand’ in-sourced recruitment solution, with one of our experienced corporate recruiters working within the business on a part-time basis as Recruitment Manager.
  • Shortly after the London office was opened in August 2009, cph conducted a competitor mapping project to provide the basis for targeted search and direct candidate sourcing activities.
  • As our client’s UK recruitment demands increased, the cph Account Manager started to work full-time within the business and, following a further increase in recruiting activity, he was supported by an experienced cph Talent Attraction Specialist, who focused on candidate sourcing activities across a range of positions, freeing up our Account Manager to manage the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • In mid-2010 we were asked if we would be able to support our client’s expansion into the APAC region. We subsequently signed an in-sourced recruitment support services contract for Australia and appointed a Sydney based Recruiter to support the growth of their new operation.

Our Results To Date

  • Over the last 20 months we have managed the total recruitment process, from initial job profiling through to new employee on-boarding for approximately 75 new hires - of which more than 90% have been sourced by cph directly from the market. We have also managed the hiring process for employee referred candidates and a small number of agency hires.
  • The cph team has been pro-active in supporting our client on employee retention and development initiatives, which are key in a dynamic, fast-growing business operating in a highly competitive marketplace. To date six of our directly sourced recruits have been rewarded with a promotion since joining the company.
  • We have recruited high calibre, specialist staff for a wide range of professional services, solutions consulting, technical, marketing, relationship and account management and business support positions, ensuring that our client has been one of the fastest growing companies in the UK digital marketing space.
  • cph has already managed the recruitment of 15 new staff in Australia as our client looks to replicate its tremendous UK success in the APAC region.
